In June 2009, we released our documentary "To the Sea". Between the northern and the southern coast of the Mediterranean, exists a paradox. While opportunities and promises lie in the countries of the north, an aspiring and eager youth remain in the south.Overcoming this gap under the new political (police) world order is reduced to a smuggling trip using overloaded, unprepared fishing boats from the southern to the northern coast. This few-hours risk trip that involves smugglers, middlemen, benefiters, politicians and the dreamy young men usually leaves behind either flashy economical and social spurt, or disheartened amputated families.
